It was such a relief to know that Angie is fine!
I sent a couple of mails to RR and they finally figured it out for me. Though its not a great news but nevertheless, Angie is safe and so I am happy!

I sent a couple of mails to RR and they finally figured it out for me. Though its not a great news but nevertheless, Angie is safe and so I am happy!
This morning Pallu emailed me saying she is not able to locate Angie on the RR website. And I checked and I couldn’t either. I have written to RR and they have pointed me to a girl named Angie who was adopted. But she doesn’t resemble my Angie. I don’t know how to figure this out. I am waiting for more updates. If any of you have any information please drop a comment.
Talking about Angie feels me with pride! I love showing her photos around. Each time I think of ideas to raise money for her it excites me.
Pallu (she is my bestest friend!) introduced me to Reece’s Rainbow and I thank her each day for it. And since the time I have taken up Angie’s responsibility all that we talk on the phone is about her
Honestly I don’t want to go about asking people to donate money for her. It doesn’t work very well in India. Its important I involve people and let them do their daily stuff but reap something for Angie out of it. So last weekend I thought let me talk to my roomies and other friends about her and let me see what ideas they might have. So on Sunday I spoke to my friends at home. Initially I guess it was a little awkward for them to hear this from me, but then as I told them the whole story they could relate to it. Dimpy is usually the ‘idea bhandar’ types and she came up with some really practical ones. Ananya too joined in and gave some good ones. This is the thing with discussing in a group, one idea leads to another.
So now I have the following ideas from Pallu, Dimps and Ananya
1. Involving people at work: Ask everyone to donate their old newspapers. These old newspapers can either be sold or they can be used to make paper bags which can be sold.
2. Asking friends and family to donate old books, novels, DVDs and have a library of these. Ask people to join with a small registration fee. The material will be freely available to read and share.
3. Organize dinners and house parties for friends with a entry fee. Something like charity diner.
4. There was another suggestion which I thought was pretty good but I don’t know how it will sell. A bunch of girls staying together means a LOT of old colorful clothes getting accumulated. Making colorful, attractive bags out of these and have a stall to sell these bags.
Its going to be fun working on all of these. While doing this I have realised even a penny earned/collected/generated for Angie is going to be worth it.
If you guys have any suggestions for me, please feel free to comment.
Love from Angie…
So I have slowly started thinking about what I could do for Angie. To raise the money that she needs to lead a normal life.
Reece’s rainbow is an organisation which works only for down syndrome orphaned children. Trust me its hard to for me to even write the last four words. Such beautiful kids!
Here is what they have to say…
“Hi peeps! We are a group of special children from 25 beautiful countries of the world. And we are better than most of you because God gave us something extra… an extra 21st chromosome
We have lot of friends around the world who love to shower us with gifts and are giving a part of their fortune to us so that we have a tomorrow which is more fun than today! So we have individual fans and just like VIPs. We even have body gaurds aka warriors who for ourselves (Aren’t we lucky!). And we send them our cute pictures so that they can work harder for us
If you want to be a part of this fun visit our website …
Till then
Loads of love”
What I like about these kids is that they are always carrying this lovely smile on their faces!
People all over the world help these children by doing whatever donations that they can. It is necessary that these kids get enough funding till they are 5 years old so that families waiting for adoption can bring them home and use that funding as a financial help to bring up these children. Post turning 5 they are transferred to common orphanage where they need to share the funding available between all the other children. Good in a way that they share their funding. But I have read that the condition of this place is very bad and very few children survive it
These kids need help and need homes.
Angie is one of them. She is 2 years old and she is so beautiful that any family ready for adoption will just steal her away. But she needs enough funding that can help this family take care of her expenses.
I would love to hear your suggestions in this regard or anything worth doing for her!
Keep her in your prayers!

That is Angie!! Isn’t she beautiful? I fell in love with this angel the moment I saw her on the Recee’s Rainbow website
I am proud to be her Warrior and I am going to need your help to fight for her and support her in any way that you can.
Honestly I have absolutely no idea how I am going to help her get out of that orphanage into a loving family but I know I will find my way! Your inputs and comments are most welcome.
Angie: You are a true Angel baby. I love you!
